Rental Agreement Conditions

General Conditions

The vehicle may only be operated by the Renter and any additional drivers expressly listed and approved in this agreement.
The Renter is solely responsible for all traffic violations, fines, tolls, infringements, penalties, or charges incurred during the rental period.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle at all times.
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as at the commencement of the rental period, fair wear and tear excepted.
Any damage, defect, accident, or mechanical issue must be reported immediately to Prime Motors and Rentals.
The Renter is responsible for all costs relating to lost, stolen, or damaged keys.
The Renter agrees to pay an excess of $2,000.00 per occurrence of damage, irrespective of fault.
The Renter agrees to pay for all damage occurring while the vehicle is used in breach of this agreement.
If an insurance claim is rejected, the Renter agrees to pay the full cost of repairs or the total value of the vehicle.
Late rental payments will attract penalties.
A $150.00 cleaning fee applies if the vehicle is returned in an unacceptable condition.

Lease Conditions

Return the vehicle to Prime Motors and Rentals at the agreed location and time.
Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances.
Hold a valid and current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
Accept full responsibility for any breach of these conditions.
Not allow any unauthorised person to operate the vehicle.
Drive only on sealed roads unless approved in writing.
Not wilfully damage the vehicle or carry unauthorised roof cargo.
Return all keys if the vehicle is stolen.
Not arrange towing or repairs without prior approval.
Pay a $100.00 call-out fee for each roadside assist or towing event.
Ensure rent is paid at the commencement of each rental period.

Accident or Damage Obligations

Not leave the scene of an accident until Police attend where required.
Obtain all relevant details and assist with recovery of damages.
Not admit fault or apportion blame.
Complete a Police Report where applicable.
Complete Prime Motors and Rentals’ damage report promptly.
Not arrange towing without prior approval.

Charges & Authorisation

Rental charges as agreed under this agreement.
A $250.00 charge per occurrence of damage, including windscreen, tyres, or keys.
All costs resulting from breaches, theft, or failure to return keys.
A $200.00 vehicle collection fee if not returned as agreed.

Additional Conditions

Concerns raised within 30 minutes of signing may result in cancellation and full deposit refund.
Business hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Saturday. Closed Sundays & Public Holidays.
Rental charges may be pro-rated until checked in during business hours.
Vehicles may be monitored using GPS tracking.
Failure to return the vehicle may result in police involvement and recovery action.
